Emir of Kano to attend National Tomato Stakeholders Summit

His Royal Highness, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II is among top dignitaries listed to attend the 1st National Tomato Stakeholders Summit.

The event, scheduled to hold at the coronation hall in Kano State House, Thursday 24th January, is meant to develop the tomato value chain.

In a brief made available to AgroNature in Abuja, the event is being put together by Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG), Grow Africa with collaboration of Tomato Grower association of Nigeria (TOGAN).

It is themed: “Strengthening Opportunities in Tomato Value Chain towards  National Self Sufficiency”

Other distinguished personalities expected at the event are Minister for Agriculture & Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, Minister of State Industry, Trade and Investment, Hajiah Aisha Abubakar, Governor of Central Bank, Mr. Godwin Emifele and Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed and the host, Executive Governor Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Confirmed Speakers and other dignitaries expected at the event includes the Managing Director of

Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), Mr. Aliyu Hameed, Managing Director, Bank of Agriculture, Mr, Kabiru Mohammed, Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Mr. Segun Awolowo, Grow Africa’s Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Ibrahim  Gourouza and President Tomato Growers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Ringim Abdullahi.

Others are Co-Founder WOFAN (Women Farmers Advancement Network), Hajiah Salamatu Garba, Managing Director, Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Mrs. Folashade Joseph, President Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG), Alhaji Sani Dangote and Country Director TecnoServe Nigeria, Mr. Larry Umunna.
